Earthenware has a kind of porous/rough texture to it from several layers, and scumbling into the paint. The texture, movement, and subdued color palette reminded me of beautiful earthenware pottery, hence the name. This piece looks even more interesting and beautiful in person.

There is a matte UV protective varnish applied to the finished piece so that it will last in your collection for many years to come.
