The Hummingbird's Path is inspired by the lively hummingbirds I observe from my terrace in rural Virginia. It features sweeping strokes of green and pink to evoke the garden and flowers that draw them in, while energetic brushwork captures their rapid, fluttering movements. I used minerals on canvas to add texture and a deeper connection to the natural world. Rooted in both childhood memories and daily observations, this piece reflects my reverence for nature and aims to convey the sense of aliveness and peace I find outdoors.
