This piece came about because I wanted to create something subdued, warm, and reminiscent of stones and pebbles on the beach. The colors are calming and peaceful on the wall. Painting it was like a meditation and I’m really pleased with the result.

Movement is really important in my work and it comes from growing up on Lake Michigan in a very windy area, as well as my physical love of movement and travel. I want my brushstrokes to be like a wild, windy day. giving a sense of vibrancy.

There is a matte UV protective varnish applied to the finished piece so that it will last in your collection for many years to come. The edges of the piece are painted so it can be hung directly on the wall, or framed in a floating frame for a modern look.
